No 1-2, vol IX, May 2008 in the area of Natural Language Processing, with an emphasis on those related to small languages like Serbian. Theory and practice of searching and retrieval of text and bibliographic information were introduced with a special prominence placed on question answering issues. In addition, current and most successful approaches to the problem of identifying the answers to a naturallanguage question from a large quantity of online text documents was studied in depth to set the stage for the concurrent and subsequent research proceedings.
